The quality of diesel fuel has been on a steady decline since 1973. Reduced fuel quality and lack of lubricity from ultra-low sulfur fuels lead to a variety of common problems, including hesitation, filter clogging, injector malfunctions, erratic combustion, intolerable emissions, moisture problems, sludge, microbial buildup and poor fuel economy. Marine diesel engines are required to operate continuously in a high-moisture environment. As a result, excessive water forms in the fuel system, which leads to microbial contamination and possible filter blockage. High concentrations of sludge, which are usually present in marine fuel, can clog the fuel filter and centrifuge. Additionally, marine engines face the problem of constant carbon build-up in the engine caused by excessive idling. Marine Dee-Zol's concentrated formula solves these and other fuel-related problems.
Marine Dee-Zol's Moisture Eliminator disperses condensation and other free water in the fuel system, allowing it to be carried along with the diesel fuel that passes through the injector nozzle into the combustion chamber. Deposit Control Agents remove deposits (which impede fuel delivery) from the combustion chamber and injectors regularly. Combined with the Moisture Eliminator. Cold Weather Treatments
Our Cold Flow Improver and Quick Thaw products are ideal solutions for diesel fuel gelling caused due to extremely cold weather.
Cold Flow Improver, produced with CFI-1000 Anti-Gel and moisture eliminator, should be used in a preventative manner. The anti-gel agent is a very effective anti-coagulant and wax dispersant designed to prevent gelling of diesel fuels (especially higher paraffin, ultra low sulfur diesel fuels) in cold weather.
Quick Thaw should be used when diesel fuel has already gelled due to cold weather. It liquefies frozen or gelled fuel caused by ice crystals or wax formation. This product will completely thaw the entire fuel system in about 20 minutes.

DFS Plus with Surfactant is highly concentrated to control water in diesel fuel by absorbing water into the fuel so that it can be combusted. Water in diesel fuel is formed by atmospheric conditions as well as hot return fuel (used to cool the injectors), causing condensation in fuel tanks. Metal surfaces, no matter how highly polished, have microscopic peaks and valleys. When two metal surfaces come in contact, frictional forces are created which cause wear, heat buildup and greater use of energy. The resulting wear creates low spots in the bearing surfaces and wear patterns on camshafts lifters, and gears.
